It seems like a Hip-Hop beef between two of the culture’s most lyrically gifted MCs is brewing. Lupe Fiasco and Royce Da 5’9, Co-hosts of the Lupe and Royce show have been trading jabs with each other early Friday morning.

Fan Debates and Instagram Live Argument

It looks like the beef started during an Instagram live between the two co-hosts after debates began to circulate the web about which one of the emcees was the better rapper. Other lyricists like Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, and Mickey Factz and chimed in on the matter. Some taking the side of the Chicago wordsmith and taking the side of the Detroit rapper. The two rappers took to Instagram live to publically debate who was the better rapper, a more passionate Royce Da 5’9 demanding people put more respect on his name.

"Silence Of The Lambda"

This morning, Royce Da, 5’9, threw the first shot with a diss directly aiming at Lupe in the track, “Silence of the Lambda,” where the rapper takes shots at Lupe, referencing some of the comments that Lupe and his other contemporaries made about his pen game. “I’m done promoting dumb shit, I’ll put a hole in your son while he’s holding your sun chips, while you’re over there with a chip on your shoulder, like you Hova or some shit.” the Detroit MC spits.

"Steve Jobs"

Hours after, Lupe came back with a quick response to the diss record with his own. Lupe took to his social media and Youtube channel to drop the response track, “Steve Jobs,” where he comes back with some jabs of his own, speaking on the comments Royce made after Lupe said he was “in his feelings.”

“I ain’t even trip, when you called me a bitch, I was like look at Salem, calling me a witch, look at how they made him look how much they gave him, look at all the assists.”
