Hot 16: Trina

Hot 16: Trina

She's the Baddest Bitch. The Diamond Princess. The Queen of Miami-Dade. From her scene-stealing guest spot on a classic 1998 Trick Daddy single; to albums like Diamond Princess and Glamorest Life that cemented her as a force as southern Hip-Hop stormed the mainstream. The diva can boast a sustained chart presence throughout the 2000s. Trina has been called the most consistent woman in Hip-Hop; and she's earned that distinction.

We rounded up a little trivia, some of her most noteworthy music videos, and certain products that represent Trina to the core. This is Trina's Hot 16.

THE FACTS YOU MAY NOT KNOW

She's Dominican-Bahamian (Her Mom's family is from the Bahamas and Dad's father is from the Dominican Republic.)

She had her real estate license and was focusing on that when Trick Daddy asked her to guest on a song he was recording called "Nann N*gga."

She was briefly engaged to fellow rap star Lil Wayne.

She started Rockstarr Music Group in 2015.

She has a very specific artist that she still hopes to work with. “My dream collaboration would be with the Queen of everything in my eye which, of course, is Beyoncé.”
