Eminem to Play White Boy Rick on 50 Cent's 'BMF'

Eminem is making his return to acting on Starz’s “BMF”(“Black Mafia Family”). Em will be playing the infamous Detroit drug trafficker and FBI informant, White Boy Rick. 50 Cent and Eminem being long-time collaborators, 50 is more than excited to be working with his good friend again. 

“I’m honored and appreciative of my good friend Em for supporting my new show ‘BMF,'” Curtis “50 Cent,” Jackson said in a told The Wrap. “We couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend that is Eminem.”

Richard “White Boy Rick” Wershe Jr. was an FBI informant as a teenager, selling firearms and drugs. When he was 17, he was arrested for cocaine possession and sentenced to life in prison. Wershe would later be released from jail on parole in June 2020 when he was 50.

White Boy Rick has since been an iconic figure in the hip-hop world, becoming the subject of the 2017 documentary “White Boy” and the 2018 feature-length film “White Boy Rick”. 

The upcoming crime drama, “BMF,” is inspired by the brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who ran the streets of Detroit in the 1980s, starting one of the most notorious crime organizations in the country. 

The series was filmed in Atlanta and Slim’s hometown of  Detroit. “BMF” is set to premiere on Sept. 26 on Starz.
