Aaliyah's 'One In a Million' Cracks No. 10 Spot on Billboard

Aaliyah’s sophomore album One in a Million finally arrived on streaming services earlier this month following a lengthy legal dispute between the songstresses label and her estate. The album quickly climbed to the top of streaming charts, reaching Apple Music’s number one spot overnight.

This week, Aaliyah’s 1996 album entered the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 10. After selling 26,000 album units, according to MRC Data.

This is the first time that the album has cracked the top 10 on the Billboard charts. The album previously peaked at No. 18 upon its initial release in 1996, which netted 40,500 proper album sales.

The critically acclaimed album is the first in the series of Aaliyah’s catalog scheduled to be released on streaming services for the first time. The artist’s self-titled album will arrive on September 10, while I Care 4 U and her 2005 posthumous release are both due October 8.

Make sure to continue streaming Aaliyah’s catalog and keep an eye out for future releases.
