50 Cent Says Eminem Had a "Terrible Experince" Filming '8 Mile'

On Thursday night (September 16), 50 Cent made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! To promote his upcoming crime-drama series Black Mafia Family. His close friend and collaborator Eminem make a guest appearance in an episode of the show as White Boy Rick. 50 says it took a lot of convincing to get Shady on the show.

50 suggest that Em had a “terrible experience” while filming his iconic 2002 film 8 Mile, which led to the emcee taking the back seat on many mire acting experiences.

“I think he had a terrible experience on the 8 Mile project because he didn’t want to go back ever again,” he said. “There was a period Hollywood would offer me things to get him. Then his agent would go, ‘Yeah, this is good. Give it to 50 and let 50 take it.’

“Projects that are offering $8 million to do it, and he’ll look at it and go, ‘I just think that we should do Warriors. I’m like, ‘Did you miss the $8 million?’ It didn’t move him at all, and then he’d go, ‘Let’s just go record records.'”

Snoop Dogg is also a supporting character on the show, and 50 had some trouble getting the Long Beach emcee to stop smoking weed on set.

“You can’t get him to stop smoking weed,” 50 asserted. “I went to the trailer, and I was like, ‘Just chill.’ He’s like, ‘Get out of here, it’s legal, 50!’ He was really conflicted by me asking him to stop smoking weed. He was like, ‘Why you want to mess up my day?'”
